Privacy policy
This policy describes the current Embassy Atlas preview. It will be updated before any material change to data collection.
What the site does not collect
The current site has:
- no analytics or behavioural tracking;
- no cookies;
- no user accounts;
- no contact forms;
- no personal-data collection forms; and
- no site database or server API receiving selector or directory-filter choices.
Local selector and filter state
Embassy selector choices and directory filters run locally in your browser. The selector offers a link only when the chosen represented-country and host-country pair is already published. Following that link performs ordinary final URL navigation to the embassy page.
Your selector and filter state is not sent to or received by an Embassy Atlas site database and is not stored by the site. The final page URL you visit can appear in browser history and in technical request logs handled by the hosting provider, like any ordinary page request.
Essential delivery data
The hosting provider may process technical request information needed to deliver pages securely, such as an IP address, requested URL, timestamp and browser headers. Embassy Atlas does not use that information to build visitor profiles.
External links
Embassy pages link to government sites, map services, email addresses and telephone numbers. Those services have their own privacy practices. Opening an external link leaves Embassy Atlas.
Future changes
If analytics, advertising, contact or personal-data collection forms, or other data-processing features are introduced, this policy and any required consent controls must be updated before those features are enabled.
